When Should i book hair and makeup for my wedding?

I’M NEWLY ENGAGED, WHEN SHOULD I PLAN MY WEDDING?

Now! Couples are experiencing their first, second, and third choice vendors already being booked for 2027.

HOW DO I BOOK HAIR AND MAKEUP FOR MY WEDDING?

To hold your wedding date, a signed contract and non-refundable retainer must be paid in order to be considered booked.

SHOULD I book a HAIR AND MAKEUP PREVIEW?

Yes. A preview is a dedicated, paid appointment where we collaborate to design your final bridal look.

This is not just a trial- it’s an intentional part of the process that allows us to customize your hair and makeup, make any adjustments, and ensure everything feels exactly right for your wedding day.

DO YOU OFFER HAIR EXTENSIONS?

We recommend Remedy Hair clip-in extensions. We can color match you directly during your trial, or you can send us a few photos to color match beforehand. Extensions can not be returned once they are placed in your hair for hygienic purposes.

IS airbrush makeup BETTER?

Airbrush makeup doesn't necessarily look good on everyone. If you have textured or mature skin, it can emphasize this. The airbrush makeup application should feel light. Our professional products are designed specifically for longevity, no matter what application you choose.

DO YOU HAVE travel fees?

Eye For Beauty’s home base is Connecticut. Traveling on-site for your day is what it's all about! Please reach out with travel rate questions. Our out of state travel fee is .65 cents a mile per artist (outside of Connecticut). Typically 1-2 artists are needed for most weddings.

IS GRATUITY INCLUDED?

Gratuity of 20% is added to all services for your convenience, including previews.

ARE THERE minimums?

We no longer cater to “just the bride” Friday thru Sunday. Starting 9/1/22 we are implementing a service minimum. Inquire for more information.

Have a large bridal party?? - Our team has previously handled large parties up to 28 people.

DO YOU HAVE AN ADDITIONAL ARTIST FEE?

Most weddings require 1-4 artists. If you have a very large bridal party or a very tight timeline and need 5+ artists/stylists an additional fee will be added. Inquire for more information.

IS THERE AN EARLY START FEE?

For those needing a start time before 5am, an early start fee will be added. Inquire for more information.

DO YOU HAVE HOLIDAY FEES?

Yes, a fee will be added to any bookings taking place on certain holidays, or long holiday weekends (Friday through Monday). Inquire for details.

DO YOU OFFER OTHER SERVICES BESIDES BRIDAL HAIR AND MAKEUP?

Yes, we keep quite busy with hair and makeup for family/maternity sessions, photoshoots including engagement sessions, boudoir, and photography workshops mainly Monday through Friday. Contact us for rates.
