Hi, I’m Kim: Owner of Eye For Beauty, Connecticut’s premiere travel hair and makeup company. I have a passion for teaching other’s how to feel comfortable using their current makeup products, learn a new technique, and update their makeup bag.
I have previously worked at Paul Mitchell School co-teaching makeup, and now offer private lessons.

Our by the hour makeup lessons are tailored to each person’s interests and are best suited for:
* Those that always wanted to learn how to use the products they already have at home
* Clients who want to learn a specific technique
* Learn how to use makeup brushes properly
* Recreate a specific look you love
Lessons are available in CT only. $100/hr.
Our Shopping Experience:
Have Eye For Beauty hand select beauty and skincare products specifically for your needs. We meet you at our favorite beauty store and help select the best products. Combined with a makeup lesson, a shopping experience can be just what you needed to find the right products, correct foundation shade, and tailored skincare regimen. We found through the years that the shopping experience takes on average 2 hours. Clients will do the makeup lesson in the comfort of their own home, in the exact lighting/space you will get ready each day.
How often do you leave a salon loving your hair and then find it impossible to recreate the look at home? Our talented artists walk you through step by step doing the application on one half of your face, while you do the other side (with assistance if needed). Our clients feel confident to do their own makeup by the time the session ends.
We also follow up with an email and are available to answer any questions.

Time Conscious Lesson
We value your time. Sometimes it’s hard to fit in a full shopping experience AND a makeup lesson. That’s why we offered our Time Conscious Experience.
* Let us know exactly what items you are in need of, what products you currently use, and what you are hoping to learn
* From there, we create a list of products (with links) to purchase ahead of time
* Once your products arrive, we schedule your makeup lesson- eliminating meeting up at the store.
But how will you know my color…
We have you send over a few photos of yourself in natural lighting (selfies work great!! No filters please). Clients trust us to curate eyeshadows, put together an entire look, and hand pick brushes. We put together the list & links- however you review it before purchasing. There is absolutely no pressure to order every-single-item. We work within your budget.
